Peter Frödin is a multifaceted Danish entertainer, recognized as an actor, comedian, and singer. Born on January 7, 1964, in Christianshavn, he spent his childhood on Amager, Copenhagen, attending Sønderbro Skole. While he initially pursued acting by auditioning for acting school without success, his career began in 1984 with a role in the musical 'Runaways' and subsequently at Merkurteatret. His early experiences included collaborations with Paprika Steen, Hella Joof, and Martin Brygmann at Cafe Teatret, which proved formative for his later work. Frödin’s comedic journey took shape through involvement with the comedy groups Lex & Klatten and Det brune punktum. Music from these groups achieved considerable popularity on Danish radio. He further expanded his reach by co-hosting the children’s show 'Bullerfnis' with Hella Joof from 1990 to 1992, and appearing in several Danish films such as 'Hannibal & Jerry', 'Motello', 'Mirakel', 'Grev Axel', 'Jul I Valhal', and 'En kort en lang'. He also gained recognition through appearances in television commercials for brands like Tuborg and TDC. Notably, his collaboration with Jimmy Jørgensen on the song 'Vent på mig' from 'En kort en lang' became a radio staple between 1995 and 2010. Beyond acting and comedy, Frödin demonstrates a significant musical talent; Jarl Friis Mikkelsen considered him 'one of Denmark’s best singers' during the show 'Her er dit liv'. He collaborated with Bent Fabricius-Bjerre on the album 'Jukebox' in 2004. His creative partnership with Søren Østergaard led to the touring comedy circus, Zirkus Nemo. In 2019, he adopted the persona of Franzi25 for Rød25, releasing schlager music that achieved viral success. He has narrated children’s books by Ole Lund Kirkegaard and Kim Fupz Aakeson, and co-authored 'Lille Allan - Den Menneskelige Antenne' with Line Knutzon in 2012, followed by the sequel 'Lille Allan og Dobbeltgængerskolen' in 2013. More recently, he has appeared as Doktor Munch in the DR Ultra sitcom 'Backstage' and as a detective on the TV 2 show 'Hvem holder masken?' from 2021-2022, and voiced 'Den private samler' in the 2022 film adaptation of 'Lille Allan'. He also served as a judge on 'Danmark har talent' in 2015.
